Welcome to my kitchen!
I grew up in an Italian-American household in Northern Virginia, where I fell in love with food at an early age. I ate my way through Europe while attending Franklin University Switzerland, a small school on the Swiss-Italian border. When I returned to the U.S. after college, I added a variety of jobs to my resume: corporate event planner, program manager, wine retailer, server, restaurant manager, and most recently, sommelier at a fine dining restaurant/boutique hotel. I hold a level 3 certificate in wines from the Wine and Spirit Education Trust.
Now, as a full-time blogger and stay-at-home mom-to-be, I enjoy hosting thoughtfully curated dinner parties and creating new recipes. My favorite thing to do is honor the cultures that inspire me, notably Italian and Norwegian, by living sustainably and eating nutritious, locally grown, handcrafted meals.
